Hobonichi - Cover A6 Original Size | Tolight: Garden of Botany

The “Tolight” cover for the Hobonichi Techo Original (A6) is a collaboration with Japanese designer Mei Aoyama, founder of the brand Tolight. Following the concept of “freedom, like drawing a picture,” this cover blends textile design and original artwork in a fresh, expressive way.

The design pairs a dark, soft plaid fabric with vivid, painterly flowers that appear as if hand-drawn directly onto the surface. The bold acrylic-style prints are full of movement and natural energy. While clearly floral, the aesthetic avoids being overly sweet, with a balanced tone that makes it suitable for any age or style.

The flower illustrations were created especially for this Hobonichi Techo edition. The print captures not only the vibrant acrylic colors but also the subtle texture of each brushstroke.

Inside, the soft beige lining features floral paintings on both pockets. Yellow flowers and buds decorate the right, while a white flower is illustrated on the left pocket, which also carries a discreetly embossed Tolight logo. The bookmarks come in yellow and green, reflecting the palette of the artwork.

This cover is designed to bring light, optimism, and creativity to your daily life, just like a splash of sunlight on paper.
